Our Vision and Mission Statements

Our Family Game was developed as an educational tool to entertain, enlighten, and inform the general public about issues of sexual diversity concerning the contributions of Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgenders, and gay-friendly (GLBT+).

Our Family Game covers Historical, Business, Political, People of Note, Entertainment, The Arts, and General Information. Topics include current films, television shows and events like Queer As Folk, the Gay Games VII, the L Word, and Brokeback Mountain. You may also be asked about political figures like Harvey Milk, or female rap stars topping the charts. With over 7 years of planning and development, we are proud to offer the best source of family entertainment for the GLBT community since the development of games like Trivia Pursuit.

The story of JEM Productions is the personal story of Judy McClure.

Justice and equality for many. She is her father's daughter. She has been tremendously influenced by her high-achieving family. Her aunts were all professors, her father and uncle were members of the state legislature in the 1950's, and her uncle held a high position for the United Nations. Her grandmother was a "bloomer girl" in the early 1900's, and marched on Washington with the suffragettes. She also was an officer and founder of the Federated Clubs, an organization that worked at social equality issues for over 100 years.
Growing up, Judy was always inspired to help others and do her best. She was a member of the Girl Scouts in Cincinnati and elected President of the Planning Council for the tri-state area (Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky). She went on to represent the Girl Scouts at an international convention in 1978. All through her formative years, she was involved in extra curricular activities including being President of the Dorm Council, Scout Leader, and President of Plaza Government at Kent State. While at high school during the years of integration, she founded and started an organization called the Human Equal Rights Council, which concerned itself with all people's rights regardless of ethnicity. Getting the word out about equality and helping the smaller man and woman is something she has always felt called to do. Social injustice in all things is intolerable.
While working in TV broadcasting in New York City and Philadelphia as a Public Affairs Director and Senior Research Analyst, Judy had the opportunity to interact with people from all around the world as well as many gay people. As an African American woman, she knew what discrimination was like and knew that gay people were like me and everyone else. Who was she to cast stones? Had she not looked in her own closet? During this time, she discovered that a childhood friend's brother was diagnosed with AIDS, and stood by her friend when her brother came home to Cincinnati to die. It was so disheartening that his parents wouldn't let anyone in to see him.
Seeing this, as well as working in other industries, she saw first hand discrimination against people because they were gay. While working in the pharmaceutical industry, Judy learned that a Vice President of another pharmaceutical company fired his secretary because of her sexual identity. Judy could not stand idle at what she was witnessing around her. The concept of the game came to her, and she invested eight years of her life developing Our Family Game to help educate and inform people of the accomplishments of gays and lesbians. She knew it was important to take the focus out of the bedrooms and place the focus on people's achievements. Sexuality should have nothing to do with how someone is looked upon. She quit her full time position as Regional Manager for a pharmaceutical company, and began devoting all of her work time towards her dream of helping society accept gay people for who and what they are.
Judy now travels the country attending conventions both in the gay rights and toy and game industries. She is often called to be a speaker and leader. If you are interested in having Judy at your event, please contact us.
